High Power Inductive Coil with built-in Ignitor

This High Power Inductive Coil offers exceptional performance thanks to a built-in ignitor , which ensures precise ignition. It delivers a powerful 103 mJ per spark and has a longer spark duration (2.9 ms) compared to traditional capacitive discharge coils. This ensures more efficient ignition and improved performance in high-performance applications.

  • Compatibility : Requires HEI type spark plug wires with terminals/boots and is compatible with most brands of HT leads

  • Primary : 0.5 ohm resistor
  • Secondary : 8,500 ohm resistor, with 22.5 H inductance
  • Maximum current : 19 amps
  • Nominal dwell : 3.0 ms (too much dwell may lead to overheating)
  • Maximum battery voltage : 17 volts

Connection pinout:

  • A : Ignition signal from the ECU
  • B : Logic ground (connect to ECU ground)
  • C : Spark wiring ground (connect to cylinder head)
  • D : Ground (connect to negative battery)
  • E : 12 volt power supply

The coil dwell starts when a 5-volt signal is applied to pin A, and the coil fires when the voltage drops to zero. This signal is similar to that of an LSx coil , although it requires slightly more current to trigger.
