The Eventuri intake system for the BMW F40 M135i, F44 M235i and F39 X2 35iXdrive has been developed through extensive real-world testing and airflow simulations. The system features our patented Venturi housing system and an integrated Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor section , which ensures the smoothest airflow to the turbo inlet pipe. The housing encloses the custom-made Generation 2 dry filter , which helps shape the airflow and maintain laminar flow. The housing fits perfectly with the front duct, which is optimized in volume to maximize airflow and minimize any restrictions.
The duct ensures that only ambient air flows to the filter, keeping intake air temperatures (IAT) constant under most driving conditions. This results in improved throttle response and allows the turbo to operate more efficiently with a lower waste-gate duty cycle.
The Eventuri Difference
The F40 M135i / F44 M235i Eventuri system uses patented carbon fiber housings and Generation 2 custom filters . This design provides aerodynamically efficient airflow from the filter to the turbos. Unlike other systems that use a simple cone filter and heat shield, our system uses a unique design that utilizes the Venturi effect and maintains laminar flow to reduce load on the turbo.
System components
The Eventuri F40 M135i intake system consists of several components that have been specially designed to achieve specific goals and are manufactured to the highest standards:

FILTER HOUSING ASSEMBLY
The filter housing consists of the custom-made Generation 2 filter , an aluminum intake cowl , a stainless steel bracket and the integrated MAF section. The carbon pod encases the reverse-mounted filter and shapes the airflow to the MAF section, which then connects to the stock intake tube. This design is much more direct than the stock air intake system, with no abrupt changes in airflow direction, resulting in a smoother and more efficient airflow to the turbo intake tube.
PATENTED TECHNOLOGY
Our patented filter housing has a gradual reduction in cross-sectional area as the filter is shrouded and the airflow into the tube decreases. This design exploits the Venturi effect , where the airflow accelerates while maintaining laminar flow. It can be thought of as a large velocity stack. Our custom-made filters support the airflow through the housing and ensure a consistent velocity profile as it exits the housing.
CARBON DUCT
The duct has been completely redesigned to maximise internal volume. With the mounting points now hidden, the duct makes optimum use of the space above the slam panel. To provide protection from engine bay heat, the duct has a flexible rubber surround around the opening to the filter housing, which provides a good seal whilst still allowing movement with the engine.
